Guidelines for contributors
The School of Education Research Series is a publication designed to showcase the diversity of educational research conducted within our School. The audience for this publication is teachers in New South Wales schools. The intent is not only to demonstrate our research, but also to place the findings in a relevant and helpful way to teachers. Through the series we also expect to attract postgraduate students to the School of Education, as information about our research programs is made known more widely.The School of Education Research Series can be viewed on our website http://www.une.edu.au/education/research/researchseries.php We are calling for further submissions for this editor-refereed publication. There will be two series per year.
Research-based papers with practical implications for teachers are invited to be submitted for review. The papers need to conform to the following:
1 Submit a paper of approximately 1300 to 1500 words;
2 The ideas are produced from research;
3 The language is accessible to teachers;
4 The research not only establishes a problem it makes suggestions about what teachers can do;
5 It includes some useful resources for teachers; and
6 The ideas need to be interesting, topical and relevant to the school context.
Submissions are to be sent to Dr Claire Parker, claire.parker@une.edu.au and Dr Myung-sook AUH, mauh@une.edu.au Co-Editors of the School of Education Research Series. Feedback will be provided regarding suitability for the Series within six weeks. Co-Editors will co-opt relevant referees to perform blind peer reviews of articles. Successful submissions will require a photo of the lead author and a 75-100 word biography of the author.
In addition, we have included a section in the Series on “What’s New at the School of Education” and this is another area to which we welcome submissions in order to highlight the diverse offerings of the School to the wider education community. Please submit 1-2 lines concerning the relevant contact people and the project being highlighted as well as the email of the relevant contact person.
