Terms of reference
Advisory
- To develop and monitor policies and strategies, concerning such matters as the UNE brand, marketing the portfolio of programs offered by UNE, the total package offered by UNE, the pricing of UNE's offerings, the service standards provided by UNE, the different modes of study offered, and the promotional mix, to market the University and make recommendations to the Vice-Chancellor;
- to advise the Vice-Chancellor on the appropriate form of marketing infrastructure best suited to serve UNE;
- to advise the Vice-Chancellor on emerging threats to, and opportunities for, the marketing strategy and UNE, from the changing environment, based on market analyses;
- to consider and report on any matter referred to the Committee by the Vice-Chancellor; and
- to ensure that recommendations and/or decisions of the Committee embody appropriate attention to quality assurance and are consistent with the UNE Strategic Plan and other relevant UNE Plans.

Membership
- Director, Marketing and Public Affairs
- Director, Student Administration and Services
- Director, Planning and Institutional Research
- One College representative, nominated by the Heads of the Residences
- One Marketing Academic, nominated by the Head of the New England Business School, as the Faculty of Economics, Business & Law representative
- One representative from each Faculty, other than the Faculty of Economics, Business and Law.
- International Office representative nominated by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development and International)
Co-option
The Committee can co-opt where needed any members required to achieve or maintain gender balance, where the membership does not include at least two women and two men. The Committee can invite individuals to provide additional appropriate expertise as necessary.
Term of Office
Elected members will hold office for a two-year period and may serve a maximum of two consecutive terms. In the event that an elected member vacates office prior to the conclusion of their term, then an election will be conducted by the appropriate body for a replacement to serve the remainder of the term.
Frequency of Meetings
The Committee will meet at least four times per year. Self-Review Once in every twelve-month period, the Committee shall devote at least part of one meeting to a review of its policies, practices and procedures over the preceding 12 months.
