Australian Postgraduate Award - Postgraduate Scholarships
Australian Postgraduate Awards are available to Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of Australia for candidates undertaking a full-time Master's by research degree or PhD degree.
It is normal for recipients to undertake study on a full-time basis, although, subject to strict criteria laid down by the Commonwealth Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST), the award may be offered for part-time study.
These awards provide a living allowance, a relocation allowance and a thesis allowance.
Applications Close: 31 October each year
Stipend:
AU$19,616.00 (2007 rate) per annum tax free, in fortnightly payments.
Maximum Duration:
Three years full-time for a PhD degree, two years for a Master's research degree.
