Introduction

Communication Studies at UNE is a rich mix of exciting units. The main focuses are on professional writing, media and film studies.

You can study Communication Studies at UNE as part of a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Communication, a Bachelor of International Studies, or as part of many other degrees. You can even complete a degree majoring in Film and Television Production using the technical facilities and expertise of the Armidale TAFE.

The study can be taken in the stream that suits you or you can pick the topics that suit you and design your own generalist degree. Topics include Australian film, children’s film and television, children’s picture books, cultural industries, film genres, mass media, new media, non-fiction writing, popular culture, professional writing, publishing and editing, rhetoric and public affairs, screen writing and television drama.
